With a career spanning more than four decades, Mr. Fine was voted one of the top wealth managers in Chicago before retiring. During his time at Merrill Lynch, he aligned portfolios with objectives and facilitated those objectives with financial planning and securities. He was proficient in managing stocks and bonds and was trusted in reducing risk. He attributes his education to achieving his measure of professional success. He earned a master’s degree in finance from Loyola University and was ranked in the top five percent of his graduating class of 1972.

Although retired, Mr. Fine still reaps the benefits of a successful life, with all of his children finding success in their respective fields. He passed his firm over to his son Kevin, and his other son Jeffrey is a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His daughter Lisa is a presidential award nominated sixth grade science teacher, and counted among the top five in Illinois. His daughter Kathi earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, owns a practice and co-authored a book titled “The Panic Workbook for Teens.”
