Mr. McNulty entered the financial industry 24 years ago when he started working with an international company. While everyone he knew was working at a public accounting firm, he chose a different route and gained valuable experience in energy management, strategic development, and team management. His background and skills set have enabled him to excel as the CFO at Schneider Electric. In his role, Mr. McNulty is tasked with leading integrated building management, HVAC systems and services, lighting and room controls, and video products. Mr. McNulty enjoys being able to see the positive impact that finance can play on the overall business conditions as an equal player to the leadership team. He has achieved great success throughout his career and has contributed greatly to Schneider Electric’s financial stability in the market. He is also credited with designing and implementing an executive information system for management board members, a beyond-budgeting approach and forecasting methodology, and training the organization on new performance management systems and governance at the enterprise level.
A change agent and effective team player with the proven ability to effectively challenge the business on a fact-based basis and deliver results, Mr. McNulty is passionate about building an effective team with strong mentoring skills. Throughout his career, he held a variety of roles progressively within the finance area: manufacturing, business development, R&D, M&A, financial analysis, performance management, treasury, shared services, and well-rounded business partner over several and varied businesses. Mr. McNulty firmly believes that having the ability to view organizational challenges and opportunities from varying and often-differing perspectives contributes to strong and effective business leadership. Business leadership comes less from what you know and more from what you can discover by active listening and working transversally in a virtual business climate. This belief has carried him throughout his career and has shaped him into the executive he is today. Mr. McNulty looks to continue advancing on a personal and professional level, while also expanding Schneider Electric’s reach in the near future.
