Denver, CO, June 19, 2014, Michael A. Cousineau, President and Managing Director of InSITE Selection Services, Int’l, has been recognized by Elite American Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in hospitality services.
While in college, Mr. Cousineau was introduced to hospitality management and realized the opportunities the industry presented. He has dedicated 24 years to the industry and has become a well-respected leader. Mr. Cousineau worked as a sales manager for Hilton Hotels from 1989 to 1993. He then took a sales and marketing position with Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Hawaii for three years and subsequently worked as an account executive with a third-party meetings management company in Denver before starting his own company in 1998.
InSITE Selection Services, Int’l is an event planning and hotel site selection company that provides services in hotel site selection on a global scale, sourcing and contracting for meetings, conventions and incentives, risk mitigation, and strategic meetings management. Mr. Cousineau offers and maintains a high level of personal service to his customers. He does the site search, selection, and contracting for his customers. He negotiates on their behalf to get them the best deal to suit their specific needs. Once the contract is set in place he’ll even work with suppliers to come to an agreement to further meet the needs of his customer and continues to go above and beyond to make sure all accommodations are taken care of for their meeting or event.
Although highly accomplished, Mr. Cousineau believes that one of the highlights of his career was seeing for the first time, the definition of “empowerment” come to life. It was a fundamental challenge addressed by one individual hotel employee and a choice, to “take care of the customer.” That moment has stayed with him as it instilled the idea that people, one person, can make all the difference for the good, whether it be in business or one’s personal life. This idea has become the fabric of his company’s philosophy with maintaining a high level of personalized customer service and taking ownership. Mr. Cousineau attributes his success to maintaining a high level of personal service along with an ability to instill trust and confidence with customers. Looking toward the future, he intends to increase the depth of his company’s employees and services.
