Fifteen years ago, Reeda Hawkins started her career in social services. She served as a case manager at Ada S. McKinley Foster Care Services and a human services caseworker at IDHS before joining the Illinois Department of Human Rights in 2008. With her ability to understand each situation and ask the right questions, Ms. Hawkins has become a well-respected leader at the department. In her role, she is responsible for interviewing company representatives and providing mediation and crisis intervention. Ms. Hawkins takes great pride in her work and is always willing to go the extra mile to help others. She attributes her success to being a good listener and being able to determine a client’s needs. Looking toward the future, Ms. Hawkins aims to move to a managerial position and further challenge herself.
