HAMPTON, VA, March 6, 2014, Burton J. Reed, Vice President of International Cooperating Ministries, has been recognized by Elite American Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in ministry work.After receiving a degree in Bible studies and acquiring an interest in mission work, Mr. Reed was asked by his good friend and founder of ICM to join him in expanding the ministry. Mr. Reed has dedicated 56 years of service to ministry work and has assisted in the success of ICM for the past 27 years. ICM is a nonprofit ministry that works with in-country partners for church growth with strategies built upon two core competencies. It also distributes powerful Bible-teaching materials, and gives financial and procedural support to construct church buildingsMr. Reed excels at building relationships with overseas partners to help the ministry achieve its goals, and handles a myriad of responsibilities. In his role, he is tasked with overseeing any large, specialty projects overseas within the 60 different countries of operation, and working on specialty projects in India, China and Vietnam. For his exceptional work, Mr. Reed earned The Rock Award through the company in 2010.Mr. Reed attributes his success to the focus of the company, which is to build churches, nourish people with its overseas partners and continue to stimulate its business principles, as well as maintain the integrity and accountability of its cause. He believes in always been true to himself and standing up for what he believes in. Looking toward the future, Mr. Reed would like to see the ministry grow. It currently has more than 4,000 churches worldwide, and he would like to reach 15,000 by 2020, as well as continue nurturing people in the church.
