Chicago, IL, April 22, 2014, Thomas Ferguson, Vice President of Casualty Risk Consulting for AIG, has been recognized by Elite American Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in risk management.
Mr. Ferguson has more than 37 years of professional experience in the environmental, health and safety industry. Throughout his career, he has performed services for large property and casualty clients in a wide variety of industries. He also has assisted in reducing and minimizing loss experience, and has worked extensively with customers in retail and commercial manufacturing, plastics, banking and finance, service and the government.
Mr. Ferguson draws on his past experience and ability to communicate with various levels of staff to fulfill his role at AIG. Mr. Ferguson started working for AIG in 1978 and has become an integral part of the company’s staff. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing the national accounts division of the company’s risk management group for global loss prevention, focusing on the management of consulting services to accounts with annual revenue exceeding $700 million, and acting as the chief regulatory compliance officer for global loss prevention and as the vendor management coordinator. Mr. Ferguson has been credited with moving the risk consulting services forward to more of a value-based consultancy.
Mr. Ferguson attributes his success to his ability to effectively organize, analyze and communicate with all levels of management, both internally and externally, in order to develop and achieve optimum organizational efficiency. He hopes to continue advancing the company’s consulting services and offer more to international clients in the near future.
