Inspired by her father, Ms. Shelly entered the financial services industry more than 20 years ago and has become a well-respected leader in the industry. She is known for her accounting skill set, and has become an integral part of Optiver’s staff. As the CFO, Ms. Shelly is responsible for overseeing finance, legal, back office and tax teams, managing the facilities and their compliance, managing regulatory, financial and management reporting, budgeting, and giving advice on business startups and business integration. Ms. Shelly has held a variety of executive and management positions throughout her illustrious career. She served as the vice president of Goldman Sachs, vice president of ABN AMRO, and vice president and controller for Chase Investment Services Corp. Her past experience exposed her to all facets of the industry and she became well versed in financial reporting, auditing, investments, and equities. She believes that she has excelled in her career due to her hard work and having bosses who were great mentors.

Ms. Shelly earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance and accounting, at Saint Mary’s College, and is a certified public accountant. She also holds series 27, 24 and 7 licenses, and is affiliated with the Illinois CPA Society and American Institute of CPAs.
