ARTESIA, NM, September 20, 2011, Tracey Hamilton, Senior Chemist for Navajo Refining Company, has been recognized by Elite American Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in quality control analysis.

With a keen interest in the petroleum refining process, Ms. Hamilton entered her profession eight years ago determined to succeed and overcome her “fear of the unknown” in science. As she gained more experience, she lost her fear, admitting that now she enjoys going to work everyday, as she finds it “fun.”  A senior chemist, she holds diverse responsibilities, which include overseeing quality control, conducting quality analysis, and performing gasoline and diesel blending operations. 

Ms. Hamilton earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Sul Ross State University in 1994. For her vocational excellence she was named Professional of the Year representing Petroleum Chemistry and Refining by Cambridge Who’s Who in 2010, and selected to be featured in the Cambridge Calendar Series and Pro-Files magazine.

With her strong aptitude for chemistry working as her greatest ally, Ms. Hamilton intends to work toward obtaining a managerial role in the years to come. Additionally, she intends to continue lending support to such community organizations as the Paws and Claws Animal Rescue Foundation.
