With 25 years of professional experience, Ms. Boisvert has recently come into her position with the Diocese of La Crosse, a Roman Catholic ministry that encompasses 19 counties in central Wisconsin. At the helm of administration, she is responsible for assisting the Vicar of Clergy and priests dealing with immigration issues, and fulfilling and moderating daily communication tasks for the Vicar General and Bishop. An expert in computer systems, she oversees the church’s two libraries and intends to establish a third while setting up a system for consistency between the three. Ms. Boisvert notes that all she ever wanted in her career was to utilize her skills while working for a religious organization. She is grateful everyday that she has been given the opportunity to do just that.
In 1982, Ms. Boisvert completed a Bachelor of Science in pre-law studies and political science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She went on to earn a Master of Science in education from the same institution three years later. Thereafter, she developed her medical knowledge while working in a medical library, and later worked for Gundersen Lutheran, an integrated health care organization, before coming into her current position with the Diocese of La Crosse.
Outside of her profession, Ms. Boisvert is very active in education policy. She currently sits as the chairperson of the education commission of Aquinas Catholic Schools and contributes her time to the Cathedral St. Joseph the Workman Education Committee. She has been named Professional Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women and listed in Stanford Who’s Who and Presidential Who’s Who.
