Prairie Village, Kansas | November 12, 2010 | Patricia A. Parker, retired Consultant, has been recognized by Elite American Executives for her dedication, achievements, and leadership in all aspects of her field.
As a consultant, Ms. Parker counseled individuals to realize their own potential. She also analyzed programs, maintained the ledger for the company, oversaw accounts receivable, and processed payroll. She attributes her success to her opportunity to help all different types of clients from every corner of the United States. She enjoyed working among the top in her industry. She even had the pleasure of working with the former Speaker of the House. The highlight of her career was receiving an invitation and attending George W. Bush’s victory ball.
Ms. Parker was the first person to be elected twice as the President of the Computer Professionals Unlimited and she also held the position of Secretary for the same organization. She is the former Treasurer of the Data Processing Managers Association (now Association of Information Technology Professionals) and a former member of the American Business Women’s Association. She has volunteered her expertise with the March of Dimes Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and the American Diabetes Association. After 20 years of experience, Ms. Parker advises others to “live life knowing that somewhere someone has it worse than you do, so be grateful for what you have.”
Ms. Parker was a self-taught programmer to start her career. She was past 30 years old when she started her career. So anyone that wants to achieve, can if they only apply themselves. It is of great benefit to join professional groups and mingle with other professionals. Build a circle of friends in this group and become known. In other words – VOLUNTEER – and become recognized. She received offers that came out of the blue and she was not even looking to change positions. Don’t ever think that you are better than someone else. Always be fair, loyal and honest in all that you do.
