An expert in program management, training and education, Ms. O’Malley has over 25 years of experience in federal government contracting. Currently, as director of business development, Ms. O’Malley focuses on creating business development proposals, coordinating all new businesses, contracting, managing company operations, projects and development, overseeing two large federal government contracts, and handling marketing campaigns. Attributing her success to her education, competitive nature, and her strong desire to be successful, Ms. O’Malley continually strives to do better in her career. She enjoys her opportunity to mentor young employees at SNAP, Inc., and advises others to have tenacity when reaching for your goals. Ms. O’Malley has learned many things over her career but two very important factors in success are education and networking. She knows; if one builds a quality educational background and their own network of successful people, ensuring they remain connected and never burn any bridges along the way, then you will have laid a strong foundation for success.
Prior to her career in civil legal services, Ms. O’Malley was a high school mathematics teacher and a junior college professor. During her years in education she traveled around the world with her husband and learned essential leadership skills while her husband served in the United States Army. While travelling she was able to grow an incredible network of colleagues all over the world, which affords her a plethora of connections that have attributed to her knowledge and expertise.
Ms. O’Malley earned a Master of Education in adult education and training at Kansas State University in 1982. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from McDaniel College. She is a three-time recipient of the Department of Defense Distinguished Civilian Service Award and has also received the Outstanding Civilian Service Award from the Department of the Army and the Clara Barton Award, the highest award the American Red Cross bestows on volunteers.
