OCALA, FL, November 21, 2012, Juan Cruz-Rodriguez, former Broker with the Sales Department of Allstate Insurance Company, has been recognized by Elite American Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in insurance sales.
Mr. Cruz-Rodriguez came from a little town on the island of Puerto Rico and joined the U.S. Army at age 17. He served in the Korean War and was stationed in Berlin for three and a half years, where he was a guard at the infamous Spandau Prison. Following his discharge, he took a test to work for the police department in Puerto Rico. Being that the police department was not actively hiring, his brother-in-law asked him to move to Chicago and work for his company. Mr. Cruz-Rodriguez started at the firm as a group leader and became a night supervisor. Feeling that he needed a career change, he made the decision to leave the company. In 2010, his biography was published by the VFW.
With a refined background in life insurance sales honed over the course of a career that has spanned more than three decades, Mr. Cruz-Rodriguez sold all lines of insurance prior to his retirement from a position with Allstate Insurance Company. He was inducted into the Allstate Millionaires Club, and he received a Medal of Honor for Sales from Allstate, as well. He earned Top 10 in the Division in 1983, the Committee Chairman Award, the Chicago Association of Life Underwriters Award, and a First Quarter Promotion Award. Working for Allstate was a great opportunity and changed his life. Though retired, Mr. Cruz-Rodriguez has a happy life and enjoys spending time with his family.
