With over three decades of professional experience, Mr. Beck is an expert in reproductive analysis, artificial insemination training, team mentoring and artificial insemination breeding. Genex Cooperative, Inc. is a subsidiary of Cooperative Resources International, the nation’s first agricultural holding cooperative. As the area program consultant, Mr. Beck is responsible for overseeing reproductive data analysis on large herds of 200 to 1,000 cows in northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota, managing profits and performance within herds, assisting in training students in artificial insemination and mentoring breeding teams. A major highlight of Mr. Beck’s career is hearing positive testimonials from his many clients and he enjoys the opportunity to help each and every client with his knowledge and expertise.
Attributing his success in the industry to his dedication and his continued education in his field to refine his skills, Mr. Beck believes his longevity in the field and his progressive knowledge in the field sets him apart from his peers in the industry. Prior to his current position, Mr. Beck served as farm superintendent at Iowa State University from 1983-2003, and he has also held positions as an instructor at Iowa Lakes Community College and herdsman at Klausmeyer Dairy Farm. A certified postsecondary teacher and certified as a hazardous materials manager, Mr. Beck graduated from Iowa State University in 1976 with a bachelor’s degree in dairy science. He has been honored with a Milestone Award from Cooperative Resources International, Outstanding Advisor Award from Iowa State University Dairy Science Club, and judging coach from Iowa State University and Iowa Lakes Community College. He retains affiliations with the Dairy Science Club of the Alumni Association at Iowa State University and with the National Dairy Shrine.
