Neenah, Wisconsin | December 18, 2010 | Donald Truesdale, Retired Machine Designer for Curwood Inc., has been recognized by Elite American Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in manufacturing.
Mr. Truesdale is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He spent seven and a half years serving the corps, of which 13 months were spent in Vietnam. He is also a docent at Experimental Aircraft Association. Mr. Truesdale worked in his career for over five years. Mr. Truesdale’s expertise is in military history. At his job at Curwood Inc., he was responsible for designing machinery to accommodate applications for new products and to improve existing products. Mr. Truesdale has a high school diploma.
Mr. Truesdale became involved in his profession after serving in the military. He is proud to be affiliated with the Marine Corps Association, the Experimental Aircraft Association, the Vietnam Veterans Association, Military Veterans Museum and Education Center, The United States Naval Institute, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Disabled American Veterans, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and the Non Commissioned Officers Association. Despite his many accomplishments, he says that the most rewarding part of his career was serving in Vietnam.
Mr. Truesdale attributes his success to his upbringing and to the work ethic instilled in him by his parents. A unique accomplishment that sets Mr. Truesdale apart from others in his field was his ability to overcome adversity. He now volunteers at the Local Clinic for Veterans, and is a member Lions Clubs International. In his spare time, Mr. Truesdale enjoys reading about military history, and building model airplanes.
