BERLIN, WI, November 22, 2013, Debbie Podoll, Teacher at St. John Lutheran School, has been recognized by Elite American Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in education.
A passionate individual who enjoys working with children, Ms. Podoll entered the education field 29 years ago. Throughout her career, she has garnered a reputation for her early childhood education knowledge and ability to teach creative writing. Ms. Podoll knew she wanted to be a teacher since she was a young girl and gets great satisfaction out of teaching religion, language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, computer skills, music, art and physical education to kindergartners and preschoolers. She thoroughly enjoys seeing the expression of the children’s faces when they learn something new.
Ms. Podoll has also taught in other capacities where needed including: fifth grade English, fifth to sixth grade creative writing, fifth to sixth grade art, first to third grade science and social studies, and Sunday school and vacation Bible school. She also served as the director of a drama club for fifth to eighth grade for 20 years, in which she also helped write many of the scripts. Aside from her passion, Ms. Podoll believes her open mind, creative spirit and knowledge of her family’s poultry hatchery, which enables her to hatch baby chicks in the classroom every year, as well as have colored Easter chicks sent to the classroom, have made her an exceptional teacher. In the coming years, she looks forward to taking over her family’s business.
