Looking back on three decades of professional experience, Ms. Gruber attributes her success to her perseverance and determination to stand out in a male-dominated industry. Now celebrating two years as the operations instructor for SCE&G, she prepares and presents lectures to nuclear operators. In the classroom, she utilizes a simulator to complement her hands-on instruction methods. Furthermore, she assists operators obtain licensing through the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Previously, Ms. Gruber enjoyed a highly decorated 20-year career with the U.S. Navy, where she achieved the rank of master chief petty officer E9.

Ms. Gruber graduated from Columbia College and Troy University with a Bachelor of Arts in business and a Master of Business Administration, respectively. In 2006, she continued her education with an executive Master of Business Administration in operations management from Colorado Technical University. She has been further credentialed as a certified maintenance manager and project management professional by the Project Management Institute, Inc.
