Grand Junction, Colorado, January 21, 2011, Cheryl Wicks, Program Coordinator for MOSAIC, has been recognized by Elite American Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in intellectual and developmental disabilities.
As a program coordinator for the last eight years, Ms. Wicks has crafted competency for developing behavior management plans for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In her capacity, she is responsible for handling budget and yearly evaluations for MOSAIC, a nonprofit organization based in Grand Junction, Colorado. Her administrative functions include training, quality assurance, employee engagement and OSHA compliance. In addition to the many conferences she attended throughout her career, Ms. Wicks accredits her success to her desire to learn from and love her profession.
For Ms. Wicks, the most rewarding aspect of her career is witnessing individuals with disabilities achieve their goals. To coincide with MOSAIC’s mission to provide supported employment, day services and community participation, host homes, and supported and semi-independent living arrangements, Ms. Wick develops individual-specific plans. Her positive attitude, commitment, and dedication has synchronized with the company and built a foundation of mentorship and leadership that Ms. Wicks has used to catapult her professional capacities.
A graduate of Georgetown College, Ms. Wicks holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, which she retained in 2002. She is certified in first aid and CPR, and is affiliated with Alpha Gamma Delta. In her spare time, she lends her support to the American Diabetes Association, the Special Olympics, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and the Relay For Life program through the American Cancer Society. She also finds relaxation in traveling, reading, and exercising through Pilates and hiking.
