A sought-after human resource consultant, Bruce Davie has 17 years of experience advising companies and individual clients. He has spent most of his career at the helm of his own consulting firm. As the president of B&D Consulting, Mr. Davie consults on staffing, helps job seekers by advising them on writing resumes and cover letters, and writes manuals for training, including employee handbooks and policy and procedure manuals.
Prior to establishing his firm, Mr. Davie served in the U.S. Army, where he worked mostly in the logistics and maintenance departments. He rose steadily through the ranks, holding the positions of private, sergeant, medic, licensed practical nurse and second lieutenant until he was promoted to major. A Vietnam War veteran, Mr. Davie retired from the military in 1992 after 25 years of service. He attributes his successful transition into civilian life to his perseverance and ability to apply the skills he acquired in the military to the business world.
Mr. Davie received his master of science in human resources in 1996 from Marquette University and became a certified business manager through the Association of Professionals in Business Management. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
